This Brockville home got a full window changeover paired with a new entry door, done in a single day. Nine Panes vinyl windows went in, including two large high-fixed casements, with one of those openings cut fresh through the exterior brick to bring natural light into a bathroom that had none before. The homeowners paired the window work with the Lux, a 42-inch entry door and sidelight, sized to reset the entire look of the front elevation. Same layout, same brick, a completely different first impression from the street.
The existing windows and entry door no longer matched how the owners wanted the home to feel from the curb, and one bathroom had no exterior window at all. Adding one meant cutting a new opening through solid brick, work that had to be precise enough to avoid disturbing the surrounding masonry or leaving a mess behind in a finished interior space.
We installed nine Panes vinyl windows in white, on both the interior and exterior: eight casements and one awning. Two of the casements were oversized high-fixed units, chosen to match the scale of the openings they filled. One of those openings was new, cut through exterior brick to bring light into a bathroom that had none, and framed to match the rest of the home. Alongside the window work, the homeowners chose the Lux, a 42-inch entry door from Builder Canada Door in matte black with a wood grain detail, paired with a full frosted sidelight for extra light in the entryway. The scale of the door was deliberate, a wider opening built to match the home's proportions, not a stock replacement. The full scope, nine windows and the entry door, was completed in a single day.
