Written scope
Within a few business days, you will receive a detailed scope and pricing specific to your home — your openings, your priorities, what you told us during the walkthrough. Sit with it. Share it with your partner. Ask questions on your own time. There is no decision required at the visit, and no follow-up pressure after it.
Is there any cost or obligation to book a consultation?
None. The in-home consultation is complimentary and comes with no obligation to move forward. We come to your home, walk through your space, and give you a clear picture of what is happening with your windows and doors. What you do with that information is entirely up to you.
How long does the visit take?
Most consultations run 60 to 90 minutes. That includes a full walkthrough of your windows and doors, a conversation about what you have been noticing — drafts, condensation, noise, appearance — and a plain-language explanation of what we find. You will leave with a clear understanding of your home before we leave.
Who comes to my home — a salesperson or a specialist?
A Rideau specialist who is involved in the actual install work. Not a closer. The person who walks your home is the same person responsible for the project if you proceed. There is no handoff to a sales team, no script, and no pitch. The visit is a planning conversation, not a presentation.
Do I need to prepare anything before you arrive?
Nothing specific. It helps if we can access the windows and doors you want looked at, including any that are difficult to reach or partially blocked. If you have noticed particular issues — a draft in a certain room, condensation on a specific unit, a door that sticks in winter — making a note of those ahead of time means we can pay closer attention to the right areas.
When do I receive the written scope after the visit?
Within a few business days. We take what we observed during the walkthrough and build a scope specific to your home — your openings, your priorities, what you told us. It is not a templated quote with a ballpark number. It is a detailed document you can sit with, review on your own time, and share with your partner before making any decision.
Do I have to decide anything during the visit?
No. Nothing is decided at the consultation. The written scope comes after, and any decision on your part comes after that. We do not present pricing at the visit, we do not ask for a deposit, and there is no follow-up pressure once the scope is sent. You reach out when you are ready.
